HELP!!!! how do I remove handpainted emblem??

There is a handpainted BMW logo on my trunk from a previous dealership that I want to remove, Do you guys have any ideas other than wet sanding or taking it to a body shop??? Thanks guys

You might try some polishing compound, it's gentle enough that it shouldn't damage the underlying paint and I would think it would take off the paint ON TOP of the clear coat!

Ex father in law had trucks with lettering for his business. When he sold the trucks he used oven cleaner to remove the painted lettering. Came right off but of course it comes down to what kind of paint they used...
