Default help with coding. adding to VO

really tried to not make a post as this might just be super easy, or i am just horrible at searching...and ive been searching all morning. anyways just successfully retro fitted CCC from a non nav m.ask. everything works fine. i want to add the AUX as its not on the new CCC unit like i had coded on the mask. i was told i need to add $609 option to the VO but i can find any info on how to do that. i finally got a netbook with inpa and ncsexpert loaded and ive been researching the last couple days on coding, and ive been playing and getting comfortable with it, but no where can i find info on adding to the VO so i can add the AUX. any help? been stuck on this all morning and would like to give it a shot since i finally have everything working far as the coding programs.

ok i finally found a DIY on adding to the VO. following the steps, i added $609 to VO on CAS and LM. when i go back to try code to add AUX, on the list i now see CAPPL and mask is gone. so im assuming it went well? but when i try to read CAPPL i get an error.

Error in CABD! look at cabi.err and error.log
COAPI-2041 : wrong ecu coding idex
a_e65: codierindex = 0ah

Slightly off topic, but where is the best place to learn about coding and all that is needed? Thanks.

Searching these forums and also bmwcoding.com and for my situation, I just had to update ncsexpert. Found PDF tutorials on everything I needed to know. Just research like I did and you'll be on your way to coding.
