Has anyone had monitors placed into their headrests? I have some SAVV headrest monitors but the headrests are from an E39. Considering swapping them to my factory headrests. Is this possible? If so, how much does it costs on average?

I was going to get my done customize but the cost is so ridiculous ($2,700). Then I explored prebuild headrest but companies can't match with original headrest with material.

My Ride: 2004 545i, April 04 build- Titanium Silver/Gray/Poplar, Nav, PDC, rear & side sun shades. Added DVD/TV w/ monitors on headrests, dealer activated bluetooth phone for Idrive, Formula One Pinnacle Tint, Replica ACS front spoiler, #124 staggered wheels w/ non-rft Pirelli tires.

I have installed two XO Vision 5.8" wide screen monitors in my headrest with a DVD/TV player in the glovebox area. The XO 5.8" monitor is a perfect size for the E60 headrest and looks very good.

Did you get them from Fry's Electronics, they had them advertise at a really good price once in a while which included installation. How's the image quality?

Yes, Fry's in Fountain Valley installed it for me on my 04 530. I had to pay a little more than the advertised price because they had to add a video amplifier, a ground loop isolator, and custom ran the wires inside the tube of the headrest. They did a very good job. The picture quality is very good from the XO monitors.

I also purchased and installed the same monitors with a DVD player with built-in TV Tuner in my 04 545.

The monitors and installation total cost was about $500. I will try to post some pictures of the installation this weekend.
