Did you get a LCI without us knowing? He's talking about the new 2008+ that has the $400 option to get a USB port in the center arm rest console. And with that if you have a 2.5" HD and a external USB HD case you can format it correctly to use it as a MP3 player for the car

Do I understand correctly that the entire drive is powerd via USB or is there some other external power source? Does anyone have a link to one of the cases that this would work in?
I'm clearly enjoying the USB interface just with USB flash drives. I have a couple old hard drives that I ripped out of some old notebook computers that I could use if this end up being a small, self-powered thing that fits in the console. (I realize I could run a USB cable to another location but it probably won't be worth it to me at this point since the flash drives seem to work pretty well and I'll probably get an iPod eventually...)
