So here is a photo of my car with the winter shoes (on m135 wheels):
Attachment 19634
compared to the summer shoes that are m166:
Attachment 19635
the real difference between the two sets are (apart from being 19" vs 18") is the offset of the wheels. The car looks more aggressive due to the higher offset on the 166:
though the rear need to be corrected with 13mm spacers to be aligned with the front:
as for the comfort - really difficult to compare. my summer shoes are non rft 19" conti sp 2 vs also non rft 18" winter goodyear. the winter shoes have different characteristics compared to the summer so a comparision is really difficult. however, the drive on the 19 is very precise and direct - gives you a slight go kart feeling. the 18" are a bit softer, takes away alot of the bumps off the road which you would feel with the 19". my sister has a 520i with 17" and 16" in summer and winter respectively - too soft in my eyes -> 18" are minimum.
anyway, regards from austria

The only problem is the offset, since you have already "problems" with it, what should i then do with my X-drive . We'll see. Thanks for the nice pics and info

I was told by a relaible source here at the forum, that the 166M rims will not work with all wheel drive xi model BMWs.
I Hope this can help you get the right and best ones for you Bimmer.

.. indeed your wheels do not show this explicit concave shape - yep I like mine more
Perhaps the dealer can tell if there is a 166 variant for the Xdrive.
