Half Price on Dinan Software

My Ride: 545i/6spd
Occasionally my dealer had half price for dinan software and once I decided to actually get it for the old 540i. The software for the 545i is $599 which isn't worth it, but if it was half price, I think it would be. My question is, does anyone know when they do this? Is it certain times in the year or just random?
