Had DMS reprogramme my car today

All I can say is BLIMEY!
It makes a massive difference - general acceleration is better - it is frighteningly fast now.
In gears 2 and 3 it is an absolute rocket - overtaking was easy before, but it just launches past other cars now.
It has also made the car more smooth to drive - first gear seems more progressive - its easier to feed the power through.
I dont know exectly what has been reprogrammed, but it seems to hold the gears a bit more in D. I havent tried sport mode yet - never used it much anyway, prefering to change manually if I want to get a move on. I have only done about 25 miles since the mod, and I was pootling as I had my family in the car most of the time, but it really has made the car an animal.
I think it will really go through rear tyres now - the traction light was keen to come on a lot sooner than before and pulling away from junctions briskly also makes the rears scrabble for grip.
All in all, I would thoroughly recommend it.
My bro had his X5 D Sport done at the same time and he said its now a different car, although it has shown up some weaknesses in the suspension when it comes to yawing (sp?) under heavy acceleration.
I can fully believe the 5 seconds 0-62, and 13 seconds to 100 feels like an under estimation - my Lotus Elise 111S didnt feel any quicker.

It is guaranteed undetectable and can be put back if you wish (why you would, I dont know).
They dont mess with fuelling so you get slightly better consumption and NO smoke.
Basically in a few months, BMW will bring out an uprated 535D sport (as they have with the 530D), and all they will have done is tinker with the engine management - same as these guys have done.
I am not one for modding at all - never had ANYTHING done before on any car, but the press write-ups were too good to pass up. I can also not afford an M5, and this is the next best thing.

Chris, where did you get 5 and 13 seconds from? Isn't the best magazine time to 60 5.5 and I've managed 0-99.something in 13.8, but not 13....
