The ride with H & R sport springs is very very bouncy . I used to have H&R sport springs but ofter a while i switch to Eibach spings(Pro-Kit) which are much better . Here is the link from Eibach site. You should notice that the springs for xi are in preparation , but i bought the springs for xd(is the same thing) and my car(530 xi 2007) feels fanatastic.

Thanks, Calton. Like you, I came from an E39 with the sport package (mine was a '99 528i). Thanks to this very web site, I knew that my xi was not going to get all the sport suspension goodness that comes with a 530i sport package. I'm probably going to go for it as soon as I get finished getting my pilot's license.
Quick question: what do you think would happen if you put the 530i sport package shocks on your lowered 530xi?

I wouldn't say very, very bouncy. I'd have to disagree with that. It's definitely more bouncy than stock, but not out of control to the point where it's annoying. Also, Eibach tends to be a stiffer, harsher ride than H&R, which personally, I wouldn't want. I'd almost rather it be a little bouncier and suck up all the bumps on the road, than feeling every "thud" after you pass over every bump on the road.

Eibach springs(Pro-Kit) are much more soffter & confortable than H&R sport springs. And that is told by one driver(

So , in my opinion Eibach is much better than H&R . But hey that s just me& my opinion.
