I have been interested in the 3D Design Carbon Fiber diffuser for the M-Tech bumper for a while now, but have not been able to find someone to buy it from. I finally e-mailed both 3D Design and Arqray in Japan and they both responded within the hour (Arqray is a distributor for 3D Design). First 3D Design said that they don't have a distributor in the US but that I could order directly from them and they would ship it here. Then Arqray responded that the do in fact have a US office and gave me their contact info. I contacted their US office today and they gave me their prices....which were about the same as getting it directly from 3D Design, but without the need to worry about shipping (Japan to US) and customs. I then contacted them again and asked if they would be interested in a group buy and they said that if we can get at least 7 people to commit to the GB they will discount the items an additional 10%. He has to check whether the items are in stock in Japan and how long it would take to get them, but I think it would be better to find out how many are interested first before he checks.

These parts are not cheap, but I think they look nice and have heard that they are top quality. Here are the descriptions, prices, and pictures:

Thanks. I did look for a Group Buy forum to post this in and didn't find it. I didn't realize it was inside the classifieds forum. I guess the admins/moderators will move it there if they want to.

how do you think it would look on a black car? The price is kind of high, huh?

I think it would look better on light to medium colored cars as there would be more contrast between the CF pieces and the car's paint. However, I did see a dark gray 3 series with the BMW OEM CF diffuser at the BMW VDC last Saturday and it looked great. The color of the CF piece was almost the same as the color of the car so it wasn't that noticeable from a distance, but as you got closer it looked really nice.

It looks like there is no interest at all for this group buy. In addition I have changed my mind about going with these products as some new expenses have popped up for me and my budget for this has been cut by a considerable amount.
