And to the slowmobile 05 530--your just sore because your exaust didnt help the 225 weak horses of your slug of a car-

ok well now we all know youre an idiot and have no clue what you are talking about

the exhaust fits just fine and i posted pictures to prove it, my shop didnt do anything special at all. They installed it EXACTLY the way RPI had in their instructions.

Maybe if you had read them and so did your shop you wouldnt be all butthurt

Ya just posted on your thread-you had a sweet ride-beautiful mods and just great looking car. But definetly look at the bright side--it will be totalled by insurance and that means a 535--you will be happier in the end as you can also remove a bunch of your mods and transfer them over!

Not sure if I got lucky or what. We decided on where to make the cut based on how far I wanted the tips to extend past the bumber. Everything else fell into place. No problem with the hangers and I think the fitment looks just fine.

I agree, there is definitely a fitment issue. Mine hung way too low and to the left (the exhaust lol). However, I used a hose clamp to bring the tips up, but it still rests on the left side of the cutout. Should be getting this fixed soon.

its your fault 100 percent
you paid them to put on your exhuast
you shouldve told them to adjust it and make it look the way you want
if they cant do take it some where else bottom line
if they cant weld a clamp or whatever then you shouldve just never taken it there
take it to a professional not your local flat fix

well heres the latest video of my car. Some people say it might be "too out", but truth is I like it the way it come out a bit more outward that the bumper.

The problem is as I mentioned in a previous post. The most common problem is that installers are so used to doing things their way and their way only. I have installed a LOT of these exhausts and I never have a problem.......and Yes, I do use the OEM hangers too. All our exhausts are built on a jig so there is no variance in the actual systems. The problem is that if you dont follow the instructions to the T, there is a good chance of it sitting to the right, left or hanging low. Sometimes it sits too high and too close to the bumper. That flush look is OK but you risk damaging your bumper from the heat of the exhaust.

If i have to cut my OEM exhaust just to have an aftermarket exhaust on a BMW, i'd expect like-a-glove fitment out of the box. We are not talking throwing on an off the shelf Magnaflow rear section and rigging the hangers to making it work/look good. The RPI is marketed specifically for our models cars, since they couldnt adress this X,XXX units ago, they should revise it at some point or offer the needed parts for an optimal install out of the box.
Ive only had to use the smaller hangers once while installing the exhausts, and that was when I cut the stock piping a little too far forward.

Their build quality is outstanding with proven gains for a reasonable price

if you cant figure something out by mildly observing it then you have no business modding your car at all.

the problem is that most shops and most customers dont know shit about cars that require common sense as is the case here. The OP walked out of there with the exhaust looking like this because he shop said "fuck it, here ya go"

Diamond all your little crybaby snickering at the fitment of the exhaust is stupid and you look stupid for doing it

here are some pics of mine when I first got it

Both the OP and Diamond dont know how to figure out basic things and you both brought it to shops that were shitty if they couldnt put 2 and 2 together
You are right. It does require SOME common sense and it does require SOME thinking when installing this. A lot of shops dont get it. For example, we get calls telling us that the hanger is on the wrong side. The shop cut the metal hanger and welded it on the other side. If they actually looked on the bottom of the car, all the E60 5 series have the same frame and there are studs put in place that are the same as the m5, 525, 535, 545, 550, etc. All he had to do was take off the 13mm nut, but the bracket on the other side and done. Instead the shop wanted to charge our customer another $50 to weld a new hanger because they failed to see that the bracket can be removed and put on the other side in about 30 seconds.

Not lucky.

People who have questions about the install, please call me. I will be more than happy to help with the install. In the meantime, I am looking for a way to make the install easier for future buyers.

Eloy did mine install, and actually, mine looks closer to Da_Meister_22's.

I have had people mention to me they think mine stick out, but I actually think it looks better and stands out (obviously, lol).
