Fantastic looking wheels. Don't fall into the pressure of this forum re: dropping your car. If you like it the way it is, keep it. I think it looks great. I wish they made those with an xi offset...OEM, but they don't. Wheels are MINT.
Yeah, peer pressure is terrible around this place. My new wheels will be here tomorrow and I know when I post pics by the 2nd post someone will be saying "drop it". It's like a one trick pony around here.

I was never any good at giving in for group pressure... but we'll see!

Did my first mod this week-end, new wheels! Got them second hand from another member on this forum, thanks again xBMWx!
I really like them, even if it rides high on the original non-sport suspension. Drop should be next in line, or shadowline trim. We'll see what comes first...

very nice. The more I see the 166's, the more I like them! You are making it hard for me to order a set of breyton's from Tire Rack.

Nice wheels, good choice... High quality wheels are one of the best mods you can do.

Not sure if I want that, purely based on looks. And when factoring in questions from local law enforcement I'm going to give it a miss... The wheels without spacers I could possible talk my way out of but no way with spacers!
The difference is very small with spacers (like 11 mil between M5 and M6 offset?), if a police office could even TELL that it wasn't oem, I'd give him a hundo just out of sheer respect for knowledge of the car.

The look is a bit more aggressive but when you put them on it's hard to tell the difference unless you're side by side a car that doesn't have spacers. It looks more natural with spacers since they line up with the wheel well better.

But as I said, it's a very subtle thing.

And Swiss Cops care about spacers?!

I'm not worried about the offset itself, but the police here do not like spacers... I actually think you need to have them written into your car papers, otherwise they are illegal. less ET is ok though, as long as the wheel does not stick out of the wheel well.

btw, did my second mod today, shadowline trim!
