All I can say is WOW!!! What a difference, I cant beleive I waited a year to do this. The car finally feels the way I thought it should. Its a shame BMW uses run-flats, they would probablly sell more sports packages if they used michelin PS2. Gone are the bone rattling bangs when going over everyday imperfect roads. I must say costco did a great job...very professional. I cant beleive the weight difference between the two. The guy had me lift each to see the difference..He also found a huge crack on the inside of one of the bridgestones. I havent hit anything!!! Shows you that the run-flat technology is just not ready..

Glad to hear it worked out! Going to go this way myself in the Spring. Too cold here now.

I feel the same way. My 20" summer wheels are shod with PS2 and it would make you think the ride would be alot worse....but in reality the difference is noticeable. I credit this to softer gripper tires.

how about Bridgestone Potenza RE050 (Regular) or Bridgestone Potenza RE050 Pole Position?? Are these tires good too compare to PS2? Thanks for your input!

The smartest thing I so far read on this Forum was written by olli_535d .

I will buy 225/45 18" summer tyres for my 8" wide 123 wheels (normally 245/40).

Non RF's of course, but Michelin PS2's or Bridgestone Potenza's...

Both the RE050A and the RE050A pole positions are good tires and comparable to the PS2s. If you go with bridgestones though, get the pole positions as they are the newer tire.

Want to know which PS2 to get at Costco. There are R18, ZR18 (93Y), or ZR18 (97Y).

PS2's are all Y rated. However, there are some 'extra-load' versions of some sizes. I have the 97Y's on the front of my 'heavy' diesel...

I'm not sure what the minimum requirement is for a 530i but the 93Y's should be fine!

hmmm.. good info. I was thinking to get pole position too. it is cheaper and rated very close to PS2 .
