? Thank you so much for the information.? The dealer wanted $175.? What a Joke.? I believed it was a simple procedure when looking at the parts after they arrived.? Once again, thanks for the info.

You should post the name of the dealer. Talk about Caveat Emptor!

that's insane ! change them yourself and drive it back to your dealer. tell them it only takes you 5 minutes or less. the reflectors are less than $25. so that means they were trying to charge you $1,800/hour for labor .

I was referring to something else, not the installation price...

Hi dwightb:

You asked how to install the rear RED reflectors, well Dwight, very slowly, and carefully! Now I am just kidding, but seriously, (you will first need to get some fishing line, oh about 40 or 50 inch's, and then double it for added strength), then you want to "fish" the line behind the "BLACK" plate by sliding it "back and forth in a-"Up" and "Down" motion behind the old black plate, (be sure to look your new RED Reflector plate to make sure what I am about to tell you is right, but you want your fishing line nearest to the center of the bumper, because on both your old & new plate that is where the plastic release catch is located), and while you hold the line pulled tight, you need then to try to suppress the catch "IN" by using the fishing line behind the "BLACK" plate, at the same time you will need to give it a quick pull outward (with the fishing line), and then the old black plate should pull right off onto the ground.

Then just place your new red ones in their place. That is exactly how I installed my new Rear Red Reflectors, now I am all thumbs, (LOL), and it took me about all of 10 minutes to install mine last week on my e60 530i and they are worth the $30.00, because the really make a big difference in the looks of our Bimmer than the old Black plates they came with!

As you can see I am not a writer, but I wrote you these instructions, and I hope this helps!

Sincerely,

Presley 348
