I had my e61 programed for a cd changer and I ordered a Gateway 500 plus the AVR unit. I know the Dension Gateway 500 will work fine because of all the posts I have read. The AVR unit is not so easy. I know north america BMW's have no way of programming for TV tuner so showing video on Nav screen will not work. I installed back seat TV monitors for the kids and I want the Idrive to be able to select and start movies that we have on the ipod. I think the avr unit should work for this and allow the video from the ipod to be viewed on the LCD screens while playing the audio through the system. Also the video selection menu should now be under the cd directory same as the music / playlist are. I will post pics when done. Anyone else try this?

Please let us know how it goes. I have the same kits for quite some time now, and the shop is still trying to figure out how to get it installed.

Can you upload a picture of the AVR unit before it is installed? I have never seen a photo of the unit. Just the diagram on Dension's website.
