Stop worrying. I'll take care of you when I see you. I'll show you exactly what you need to do and what you should watch out for.

Not worried at all Michael. I have no doubt I am in good hands. Just curious. I understand completely how it works but just wanted to get an idea of what to expect out-of-the-box.

the gist of it is, out of the box the coilovers are very long it's hard to fit into the wheel well. you have to shorten the entire coilover to get it inside. then once you have screwed in, you can adjust the height. that's why i say it's pointless to adjust the height out of the box.

Haha I was so confused too. Hope I installed mine correctly... I loosened ring F, twisted shaft D quite a bit up, installed it, then adjusted the height.

Whatever the case, you'll be in good hands with Michael.

And you ride sits much lower with them on than it did before.

True. The wheels look huge and mean.

So I have to agree with this assessment. I have KW's on my car (I have no choice since I have an XI), and raising the height of the car did have an impact on my settings - fortunately, the KW's use helper springs, so the pre-load on the main spring is reduced, but you can still feel it slightly.

DO NOT TOUCH RING A or B. The spring should be snug in there NOT TIGHT.

Wrap your hands around Shaft C and turn it clockwise to lower into Shaft D.
Tighten Ring D

So why is KSport's way better? Imagine if you did it the traditional way, (1) you're altering the spring travel which causes the bounce and (2) it also causes the ping ping noise when you turn. Now keep in mind, not everyone experiences the sounds if they don't lower the car enough.

Make sense?
