I just picked up my 2008 535xi with the ipod integration kit. If I attached the iPod to the provided set of plugs and only plug into the auxillary (not the US, I can hear my ipod music, but can't control it from the idrive. If I plug in both, it seems that the ipod freezes. I used both AUX and USB on the idrive.

Does anyone know what I need to do to have full integration with the idrive and my ipod?

Thanks!

Is there an iPod connector in the glove box? It sounds like you're confusing the iPod interface with the USB and Auxiliary input. They're two (actually three) different things...

Thanks guys. The aux/usb adapter connection is in the armrest box and I am using the ipod cable provided by BMW. I may need to see the dealer.
