There is nothing wrong with giving a responsible teenager (they are NOT mutually exclusive) a 3er as a first car. I had an e46xi for my first car and I have never had a moving violation, accident, etc. I appreciated, resepected, and maintained my car all myself. I think I came out ok and it made me realize how lucky I was that I was driving a quality/safe machine rather than some 4th hand civic

There's always exceptions but threads like this and others that are way worse makes you scratch your chin a bit...

I'm glad my first car was not a luxury car. College puts a toll on your vehicle, especially when beer bottles get hurled at it.

 

im not a specialist but why u keep saying xi is slower my 535xi 0-60 times is better that a 535i maybe im misreading but the factr that all wheels are moving should make it faster not slower considering my non sport suspention . dont get crazy because of my comment i said im not a specialist.
and about racing i dont really race but if a dude pulls up next to me in a decent car and shows off i would try to put him to shame ( if there are not many cars around) not all the time tho.
before my bimmer i had a g37 and i had a charger with hooked up exterior pulls up next to me and i was driving pretty fast he pulls up and he says are u trying to race and i knew im gonna dust him it wasnt an srt or even an rt i said not really and as soon as i saied he says good answer and pulls out a badge. hes like you the first one today that wasnt trying to race. i think ewhat he is doing is illegal but he could have been off duty and wanted to act up

lots of g37's in brooklyn with russian teenagers always trying to race =P lucky for me I know the road well and even though i wouldve lost in a fair race, when the other guy hits a pot hole thats like 1 foot deep they give up real quick and yes my 530i is slowwwwwww, an xi should be even slower so...
