Okay guys, I have a CF front lip for my M-Tech front bumper sitting in my garage. I would like to hear from the guys that have a lip installed on their cars - how the hell do you keep from scraping everywhere you go? I see some driveways and dips in my area and can imagine ripping the lip off the car the first day it's on, and M-Tech front bumpers aren't exactly easy to come by. Any feedback would help.
John - unfortunately, it's difficult NOT to scrape. I too have a CF (rep) lip on my M-tech bumper. The bottom of the Front lip is all scratched up. I, further, concur with others - you have to drive-up/down the driveways at an angle (trial and error) to minimize the damage. You'll eventually find the sweet spot(?), angle, speed for your house drive way. However, it's hard to detect the angle for commercial areas. Perhaps tape the bottom with thick clear tape or industrial strength gorilla tape to prevent further damage?
Aesthetically looks great, but PITA to drive with. Not the best analogy, but I assume this may be comparable to what females go through daily when wearing heels for looks, not practicality. lol

I figured I would have to do that, I had to do that without a lip on my old car with coilovers.
Thanks Bro
True, but not sure I will stay on stock suspension and you've seen my driveway.
LMAO, true Jason, it has no functional effect other than looks, you've also seen my driveway - narrow and a little steep. I might have to measure.
Thanks Rich, I will

hard to avoid scrapes, as others say, slow and angle it...
you could always try vinyl wrapping your splitter or a clear bra, but that still gives little to no protection...
no matter what it's going to happen, just a matter of when....
btw: I like the oem m tech splitters rather than the 1 piece after market splitters for oem m tech kits

pjinca,
Can you post pics of the front lip? I am adding the OEM Mtech kit soon and consider this my warning since I am slightly lowered.

Because of this I still have my brand new OEM CF splitters. It's been over a year! And...I'm on non-sport suspension and it worries me. LOL! I may do it soon...hopefully.
