I've had my 05 530i sport for 1 week. Love the car. But a friend of mine found the chrome flaking off one of the wheels. Needless to say I will be getting new rims. Anybody want a good deal on chromed factory sport rims? My tires are still like new so I'll keep them. I'll post pics soon.

Where's Waldo? I could only see the small curb rash, but no flaking?

Speaking of "flakey" and "chrome"...where the heck has member Hotlap been?? Haven't seen him on here lately.

The wheels are so bright I could hardly look at 'em. But I did notice some sort of rash.

it looks just like my car but white

if you are talking about that rash near the lip, it looks like a curb check, i know because mine has the same one also

If your chrome is flaking off and its not due to you hitting something, then it wasn't prepped right when it was initially chromed.... might cost you $100-150 to rechrome if you have the resource.
