I don't know if a SSK exists for the 535 but you may want to try Rogue Engineering and UUC Motorwerks. They have one for the 545/550. If not available, talk to them. They are very customer service oriented. I would also consider the CDV replacement as well.

BMW stock shifters just plain suck out loud.

I removed the CDV on my 04 E60. IMO, It's not neccesssary on the 08 6spd with the short shifter on the 550i. Surely someone can get you the same shifter that is stock on the 550.

Welcome to the 535i club I will most likely be going with H&R Race. I have run H&R springs in the past (on vw/audi's) with great results. I ran H&R sport once and I always felt I needed about a 1/4 to 1/2 inch more drop. Ever since then I always just go straight to Race (or the equivalent).

If my calculations are correct ...based on info I have found here, the factory sport suspension is about .7" lower than a non-sport E60. H&R sport lowers a non-sport e60 1.4" front and rear...which means it will only lower a e60 sport .7" lower than stock. H&R Race lowers a non-sport E60 2" all around, that means it "only" lowers sport E60 about 1 1/4" total.

I know many guys are running H&R sport and it looks great but I am sure I would want the extra 1/2" of drop. I am waiting for my wheels to come in (tomorrow hopefully!!) and I will take some measurements... if I feel I can get away with H&R Sport I might go with them for the more stock like (less harsh) ride otherwise I will probably go with the Race versions.

from what i recall, i was the first 535 to lower my car. and i will tell you, i would be very, very careful in going with H&R's. first, they're known to be very stiff & aggressive with their drop. secondly, our 535's are front heavy compared to other 5'ers. thus, spring rate will have to be different to compensate for the weight. regardless of which H&R version you go with, it'll be a stiff/harsh ride.

IMHO, if you're going to lower it - go with KWv2's! yes, it's much more of an investment - but we're talkin' about a $55k+ car here! not to mention the adjustability factor - both heigh & rebound.
