I recall some members in SoCal mentioning they got their lowering springs installed at a local Firestone, along with an alignment. If you are one of these people, what did you pay in total for labor?

Haha, C and I have been messaging back and forth about this.
I called a BMW dealer, and a shop specializing in German cars, and they both wanted ~$1000. The German car shop said it would take a whole day too?!?!? I thought it was just simply taking off the wheels, unbolting the strut assembly, take the springs out, and put it the new ones in.....

I paid an independent BMW shop about $1000 to install the springs and do an alignment. Found out later I could've paid a lot less for the work from shops that specialize in suspension work in OC. The person that had Firestone do their springs I believe was alpinewhite.

i just got alignment there at firestone. the place i got my springs installed was trendix. but unfortunately now, trendix is a fraud company and has scammed plenty of e90 members.
c, check m5board or ask bmwbonehead if he knows where to get springs installed. good luck
edit: springs+installed cost me 420. anything over 500 is a rip off!!

You paid 420 with the springs??? I am meeting an M5 owner tomorrow at a shop near my house where he's having work done. They want $400 for the install. Does this seem reasonable?
You should bargain it down to 350 at least. Or shop around c, before you pull the trigger on the install.

i paid $400 for the spring and installation. in average, takes about 3-4 hours to do the job, so, depending on the labor charge, you know the ballpark.
but, hey, your car is an xi, not sure if that'll make any difference due to the complexity. Post some pics when it's done
