Hi. i have received my unit from Dom and would like to connect it but issues of where to get POWER. i dont have power in my glovebox in the form of a lantern.
Hobi, you were going to explain how to get power from the idrive directly? anyone else with some advise?
I am just trying to prevent having to take the car to a audio installaion centre.

Hello E60'ers,
I came across this post online after being reffered to the E90 forums, i wanted to make a quick post noting that there are other options available, we have a BMW E60 module available that has dual video inputs, RGB nav input and is fully remote controlled, we also have an i-drive controller coming out soon!

i plan on using this Alpine NVE-N872A with the NavandTV2GO E60 interface. The unit has an optional accessory to convert to an RCA out. Does anyone forsee any problems that i may run into?
i picked this unit because it doesn't need an alpine lcd touchscreen monitor.
it can almost be fully controlled via voice commands
it has a remote just incase i need full control
anyone have any othe model suggestions?
i would like voice command, remote just incase, must have some sort of video out.. rgb output?
if it could play DVD movies at least that would be great too.
TV tuner would be nice too.
ipod hookup, HD Radio, MP3 etc.
I think Eclipse has one...
any info would be appreciated.

The E60 interface ($550) with I-Drive control ($100) would normally cost $650. I will do a 10 unit Group buy for $485 plus shipping. I will include the unit kevykev just bought as 1 sold unit so you will need 9 more.
kevykev if the get to the 10 units I will refund you the difference you paid and supply an I-Drive control unit to you. I am hoping the I-Drive control units will be done by the time this GB ends. Feel free to call me at 718-763-7367.
