My Ride: 2006 550 SMG
After waiting two weeks, its supposed to arrive tommorow. As for the install, how hard was it? I am planning to install it myself..Was it a direct fit? Thanks...

If you have to waste ... You can register 2 clips : the first now, before the mod .
Third gear, from 1000 rpm to 6500 .
And the same after the installation of the AFE CAI .
With a software you can deduce the HP as from a dynojet .
If the third gear it's too fast for the roads around you (100+ MPH), you could try in 2nd .

My Ride: 2006 550 SMG
Just got done installing the AFE...WOW WOW WOW...What a big difference in sound!!! Im not sure about performance yet, becasue I only drove around the block a few times.. I am working on uploading the sound clips...It took me about an hour to install, fitment is about 98% becasue of one of the nuts provided was the wrong size, but it was not crucial to the install. If anyone is thinking of getting the Afe, Just Get It..The sound kicks in at about 3000rpm, wich is when my B&B exhaust starts to get more silent, so between the two, its a perfect harmonious combo.

Hey C I missed your post when and if you finally got your sintalled-what were your thoughts? Pretty bad arse sound huh? I enjoyed driving my car so much after the AFE-that was by far my favorite inital mod just because of the fun factor of hearing the sound-I didnt even care about the power and speed and was in a daze listening to the afe suck air in and make that awesome sounnd-I love blowing by someone with that sound kicking in-awesomee
