My Ride: Arrived 3 June 2005: 2005 545i - Orient Blue, Black interior, Sport, Steptronic, Cold Weather, NAV, Sirius, Logic7, Comfort Seats, Sunshades. What a glorious ride!
I much prefer the look of your wheels and tires to the 19" and 20" ultra-low-profile ones. These look classic to me; not at all an "off-road" look IMO.
The oversized wheels, to me, cheapen the car's appearance. Not to be critical; everybody should go with what they prefer for themselves.

My Ride: 2004 530ia, saphire black on black dakota leather, steptronic, sports package and premium package; heated front and rear seats, heated steering wheel, auto bixenon headlamps, rain sensor, dynamic drive, active steering, 18" rims, Harman Kardon L7, CD Changer, poplar wood with chrome accent on steering wheel and shifter, build date 10/2003
Great looking car!!!! looks HOT with the M Package and saphire black. My favourite colour!
.... not really sold on the wheels though - It may be the wrong kinda car for the 'squatted look' that you prefer. But if you like it, thats all that counts!
how do you like the xdrive, does it ride well?
cheers!

Thanks. XDrive is good. No problems yet and still can't figure out why some people hate it. A few more steps than normal but not bad at all. One thing I don't like about the car so far is that you can open a locked door from inside by trying the handle twice.

[/quote]My mistake. Did not even see that you said "Xdrive". Thought you said "idrive". The car rides well. Haven't had a chance to see how it handles in rain yet. We'll see how it handles in the snow later this year. Anyway - still hate the locked door option mentioned above.
