50% in the front and 35% in the rear are the limit... If you have a medical condition it will be 35% all around.....
well prior to go to the court.... i went to the doctor and got the medical waiver signed and got DMV approved... so i was originally go to 35% all around... instead 20% all around and 50% front windshield tint...

I have mine at 50% and it looks very good, I think 35% is too dark, but it's personal preference.

As far as tint, I have 20% and live in Richmond, VA..I've been stopped once and I just got the guy that did my tints to write me up a receipt to say i took the tint off, and I slipped him $20....If I can find his #, I'll PM you Idonkare
