I had a little freak out period when I got mine because I wasn't used to the occasional drone at certain RPM's.
But it's all good now And the drone has gone down.
And there is no drone for the 525i/530i anyway so you will really LOVE it!

I have to assume that the RPI exhaust in addition to a cold air intake, would really deepen the sound, which would be cool!!!! To get more HPs out of the engine, I'm considering a supercharger as well as a Powerchip ECU upgrade - maybe even NOS (not too sure about that though). It would be cool if I could find a 2009 535i engine to start playing around with the turbos.

AFAIK, there is no CAI for the E60 that does not decrease HP.
Your best solution is to get the RPi scoop/High-flow filter combo which has proven gains of 5-10hp TO THE WHEELS with 70mph airflow. Trinity Autosport offers this package Contact Nerweezy
