no, you're gonna have to plug the line, AND find a way to keep the valve open . Unlike the older systems, bmw has fitted the new active exhausts with "normally closed" valves. In essence, you're gonna have to keep the valve open one way or another. I tied some metal wire around it to keep the valve open. Make sure you use something not flammable to tie it open as it gets pretty hot down there...
