My Ride: 525xi weather package.
Exhaust pipe installation 525xi help!!!
Im thinking of putting an exhaust pipe on for a better sound but just the exhaust pipe. Has anyone ever had any issues with having one on as far as taking power from the car, sensors, etc please help!!

Which part of the exhaust are you looking at replacing? The stock muffler, resonator, secondary cats...? Your post is very vague...

Yes, plenty of people have gone aftermarket with mufflers. It's 95% a sound mod, don't expect to really gain/lose much HP with the I6. Some people simply delete the muffler, which is cutting it out and replacing it with a piece of pipe. Some use a universal muffler, like Magnaflow or Vibrant. RPI makes a muffler, but it's ~$775. Magnaflow also makes a complete catback system, and I believe Billy Boat does, too. Plenty of info out there with a search!
