I'm starting to look into exhaust and would appreciate any advice... I have a 2006 650i. I'm debating between a full exhaust system vs. mufflers and tips.

1. Am I going to see a dramatic change in performance if I go for the full exhaust?
2. What is the difference in sound between the two.. can I accomplish that same sound with just mufflers?

Also need to start narrowing down my options. Looks like other members like magnaflow, RPI and supersprint? Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

If you are located in the greater Los Angeles area, you can come in to RPI and we can try to test fit your 650i with the RPI mufflers. If it fits, we'll work something out for you.

checkout my exhaust
magnaflow mufflers, all resonators deleted, xpipe. You can probably get this done for under $500, tips and other customizations on top...

Dinan, everyone I know that has one (including me) is very happy with it. But there are lots of choices for exhaust...

I have Supersprint with X-pipe.
In the beginning wasn't happy with it. Because I wanted it to be not too loud, I got the X-pipe with resonators.
Than I deleted the resonators from the X-pipe and now I'm very happy with this set-up.
