Hi any ideas for a nice sounding exhaust for a 530d? obviously i dont want it to sound like a truck, expecially on idle. But i still want it to sound nice. Some ideas would be nice, cheers!

 

any of the powerflow exhaust franchises will fabricate a stainless back box with your choice of pipes (twin/round.ovel/square/etc) for under ?100, you can specify quiet or loud etc.

i use the one in basingstoke (top gear)

 

hi, cheers for the reply. have u seen any powerflow exhausts on a diesel bmw? im just a bit worried that it might sound a bit like a truck, expecially on idle.

 

you specify the sound, and they build to that.

deep booming or quiet i have had them do all sorts,
the fact its a diesel does not matter, its the flow/speed of the gas through the system that creates the sound..nothing to do with the fuel type.
