There is no break-in period per say. What we mean is as you use the exhaust and it heats up, it will burn up the packing material inside of the muffler. Your exhaust will actually seem louder after driving it some. There is no need to remove the resonator. What was being explained is, if the exhaust is not loud enough to your taste, removing a resonator is a viable option to make the exhaust sound louder.

Bingo, you need to give the exhaust some time to burn off the excess material from production. You may notice a funky smell or even some smoke during this process as well.

The smell came during the first 10 miles or so.

But the most annoying thing is that at high revs the sound vanishes. Why is it called race when there is no race sound?

Correct this confusion in me:

If I would had gotten rid of resenators in OEM exhaust, I would had gotten the good old race sound anyways, no?

Then why get a over $1K exhaust to do that?

No, the stock exhaust is very restrictive have you looked and tried carrying it, its heavy! The OEM exhaust does not have free flow as aftermarket exhaust/mufflers do.

Delete your center square resonator to give it a deeper growl. You have 2 more in front, but then it will sound raspy at high rpms.
