I thought it was a complete 1 piece block...

I heard it comes in 3 sound modes? Who's got what?

TIA

PS. Can someone translate the following:

Hi guys, just chiming in since CRRobert asked me tto shed some light on the illustrated setup. I can say that what was delivered to me was the single tube setup. I recall seeing the one pictured before, and i believe the context was their work in creating high performance and OEM exhausts - hence the vacuum setup. Mine is not the twin cannister, it is single. Sounds sweet. I will post a clip at my earliest! Let me know if you get something different CRRobert!

BTW - I have the race version and absolutely no regrets. I was sensitive to it being too loud and the Ike didn't disappoint.

Does your exhaust look similar to the 530i eisenmann exhaust ( similar to B&B )
or is it 1 single round cannister?

So, is the race version the one to go for? I am interested in a deep V8 rumble, but
nothing intrusive during normal highway cruising...

The exhaust I received was pretty beefy unit, in fact, I have a picture outside of the car I will post it for you in a sec.

I would not buy an exhaust if I didn't think the sound matched the car (considering it is a lux sedan). I have no regrets as I said. It is not intrusive into the car at all - your mileage could vary I guess. My passengers have never noticed (and I think Realtyman had a similar comment on his B&. I haven't actually hear it outside of the car except when the muffler install guy backed it out of his stall - sounded pretty good at idle.

AFAIK, all the Eisenmann exhausts installed so far have been the single canister, we were just wondering if the latest 545i exhaust has the twin canister per the picture andy545 posted.

Yeah, will be interesting...especially to find out what's the story behind the vacuum valve on the second cannister. Hope it doesn't mute the sound like the stock, I mean, what would the point be???

The RACE version can be ordered without the vacuum valve (Klappensteuerung).

Thanks Arnold, just saw it...still don't get what the selling point of the sport version would be?

What does the Anmerkung say....?

The sport version makes less noice. Its just a matter of taste...

The Anmerkung says that the exhaust has a certain European Union approval/certificate which means that in Germany you do not need to put a remark in your licence papers. Also it mentions that the race exhaust can be ordered without the vacuum valve and that the price is available upon request.

Anyone correct me if i am wrong.

OK, sounds correct..

Is the eisenmann race exhaust version road legal in Holland then?
Do they sound test during an APK ( inspection ) ?

TIA
