How much should a regular mechanic charge to install a set of Eibach pro kit springs on my 2006 550i? and also, do you think this is a job that I should trust to a regular mechanic? thanks for any advice

I did ask for a quote for the same springs and assembly and the price was ? 695.
I guess you can convert that directly to dollars.
Remember to align the car after the spring change.

How do you like your eibachs. I'm contemplating between them and h&r. I normally do all the work to my cars. Spring replacement is normally pretty straight forward as long as you have all the proper tools.

i have a non sport...I was quoted somewhere around $500 for just the install of the springs! I live just outside of DC in MD... I thought this sounded high... I am debating between the eibachs and the H&R's as well

the shocks as well.
I'm still waiting for more references but if they are good I will go for the Eibach's.

If you don't have sport shocks you'll probably blow them out pretty quick. But i know H&R oe sport springs are pretty close to stock spring rates.
