So i decided to do an egr delete to my 530d 2004. I first started by disconnecting the prssure pipe that leads to the egr and blanked it off so that the egr flaps dosnt activate and as a result engine light is on. I then contacted a local mapper who has been trying to get rid of the light without any results. Every time he mapped the engine and remove the light, the engine light will appear again after 20 or so miles. He has played with it for couple of days and still the same.

My question is, has anyone experienced this problem before? And also he said that because he remapped the engine now the egr will not be activated even when he reconnected the pipe which resulted in the engine light to disappear. Is that true?
