Hi i recently add Afe CAI and remus exhaust to my 530i, the sound is great but I think she might need ecu tuning to optimize the mod.
Anyone in Australia had ecu tuning done ? any recommendation ?
I am thinking of powermod engine management (ecu tuning ) from www.bavariacars.com.au but want to get a second before going ahead.
Suggestion welcome.

The most popular I've heard in Australia was unichip or Motec. DMS provides off the shelf solution, but not sure if the mapping is suitable to Australian weather. You also have to take into account your CAI and exhaust in tunning the car. I would find a reputable tuner and fine tune the car according to your mods.
Another thought is piggy back ECU? or replace original unit. Do you care about warranty?
Be prepared to know that NA cars will always be NA cars. No matter how much money you put in it, the BFYB isn't the same as turbo.
I did the same to me Lexus IS200 before. CAI, exhaust, spark plugs, final gearing. Then went turbo, pistons, conrods, fuel pump. and resulted in a blown tranny.

I was looking at the supercharger for n52, I think infinitas is developing one due early next year.
The pretty thing is that there is no LSD for non-M E60, thus no point to have massive power/torque output.
BTW, how much power and torque can the stock 530i transmission handle ?

When I looked at Powerchip they indicated that I'd get about an 8% increase in power and torque. They then suggested that the mod probably wasn't for me as I was asking how it will affect BMW's warranty. I've decided not to try to get more power for now. However, Powerchip came highly recommended to me by some friends.
