I wanted to go with the Micro Preecision 5.8 wideband for dedicated midranges only IF i could fit either 5 series tweeter in the OEM sails. Once i can get Don to test fit a few options, i'll get a better idea.

You can acquire the door boards on their own and throw in the drivers of choice and do a custom build, or you can buy the door boards + speaker package.
The beauty of that is all your homework is done for you with the crossover being custom/acoustically measured for our cabin networking all 8 new speakers on the door and all you'd require is a small 2ch amp to power them to their fullest. I'd imagine with a bit of tinkering with the xover on the new amp you may even be able to integrate them with the subs under the seats. Can you imagine the knock up front with 4 6.5's bumping midbass alongside your under the seat subs?
If you dont want a sub box in the trunk, i thought one may upgrade to SWS8's under the seats and tap in a small, inexpensive electronic crossover to the OEM sub amp to cross it over to play lower frequency(say 60-80Hz and below, since they likely play up to 250hz+), so they dont overlap with 6.5's and they can play more dedicated lower bass region.
