Default E61 LCI Halogen Options?

Hello all,

New to this forum but hoping to have some light shed.

i have a lovely just broken in (205,000 mile) E61 525D.

it is an LCI with halogen lights.

i have two pairs of :

Philips H7 Ultinon Pro9100 Headlight Bulbs

which I thought, great, the stock lights are awful (I also own a 340I b58)

how can I upgrade this ? Let me put the led bulb in, didn’t make a world of difference, still can’t see.

i stuck them in the high beam side and they work great now. But need them for low beam as it’s essentially like driving with the lights off.

from having a look these halogen projectors don’t support LED.

has anyone got a way or knows how to make
These LCI halogen actually shed some light ?

thanks!

Hi mate, haven't seen anyone successfully get decent light from the standard halogens but there was an interesting thread on another forum to retro fit an aftermarket kit which seemed pretty straightforward and gave a decent light. The Halogens are shocking 😲
