what year did LCI headlights start (prod. date)
toying with the idea of updating my pre-LCI headlights to the LCI versions.
does anyone know the production date (from Hella) that started the LCI headlamps? did all 2008 E6x have the newer versions?

Thank you. From what I've been able to dig up in WDS, i believe the cutoff in manufacturing date was 03/07. Anything prior was pre-LCI and anything after was LCI.
WDS lists the following options for E60 headlamp wiring diagrams (I've only included the xenon options).....
1) Low beam / high beam (5 Series_E60/E61 with xenon lights up to 2005_03)
2) Low beam / high beam (5 Series_E60/E61 with xenon lights as of 2005_03 up to 2005_09)
3) Low beam / high beam (5 Series_E60/E61 with xenon lights as of 2005_09 up to 2007_03)
4) Low beam / high beam (5 Series_E60/E61 with xenon lights as of 2007_03)
