Can anyone tell me what te wheel specs are that will fit the e60, and more specifically i have the 2008 528XI so i am not sure if there is anything i need to be aware of with the all wheel drive.... I want to buy a set of rims and i see so many guys that say all of the 5 bolt BMW rims are the same and others that say the 5 6 and 7 series are the same and some that do not agree and some say i need different wheelswith the X drive, I need some definate numbers like the bolt pattern etc...

Thanks in advance

xi you say? Calton's (C's Bimmer) your man. I'll let him chime in; he's the resident expert on xi and wheels.

xi's Wheel Offset is different than RWD e60's. The wheels are not interchangeable with non-xi models.

I have the same vehicle - 2008 528 XI. Its wheel offsets are +43 all around. Wheels that work need to be around +35 to +40 offset in general. The wheels from the current 3 series work quite nicely, as the offsets are +34 front (fronts are 8 inches wide) and +37 rear (rears are 8.5 inches wide). You can also get XI wheels from the 535 - the style 124's have offsets of +43 front (fronts are 8 inches wide) and +55 rear (rears are 9 inches wide).

If you get 5 series wheels, make sure they are from an XI as they will stick out past the fender pretty badly (esp on the front wheels) if you put regular "I" wheels on your vehicle.

Also look on tirerack.com, they have many styles and you can view them on the vehicle. There are also many vendors here that can help. Just make sure they know you have an XI, and also double check that the offsets are 35 to 40 (ish).

Hope this helps,
Mark

I have a chance to buy a set of M series wheels, they are brand new and from a M3 215/40 R18 and 245/35 R18 but i need to make sure they will fit and it is a private cash sale so once i buy em i am stuck with em... any thoughts?
