Are the aftermarked steering wheels all from BMW or do one risk getting a pirat part ?

Depends on the source. Do you have any links that you could share?

I believe the BMW/E60 parts from RoverActive are legit. But I do find his prices to be $$$.
Depending on your location, you'll probably get a better deal sourcing the part(s) from:

Garry of BMW Newport - https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=18067
Please send your request to gromani@bmwofnewport.com and I will reply back with price and billing information. Must mention E60.NET to receive the discount and no technical questions please. You may also contact me at 401-847-9600 ext. 2448.

Member DRANGED once recommended Frank, stating he honors the e60.net 25% discount! Well, I just ordered shadowline trim from Frank on Monday and it arrived here on Friday! The transaction was very smooth and precise, and being in Chicago, I saved a little over $20 overall over Garry of Newport. That is in no way disrespectful of Gary...because I have bought several items from him...but being geographically close to Frank certainly helped, and I would not hesitate to buy from him again! If you live in the midwest or close to it, please give Frank a shout and see what he can do for you.

Have you gone to eBay lately?

To give you a good example, my roof spoiler is not authentic ACS.

There's a good reason for that - who really spends $450 for a friggin roof spoiler anyway? ACS has some nice stuff but their prices are
