Hi this is my first posting so I hope no one shouts at me but finds it of some use. I have a 535D MSport fitted with the dreaded run flats and I am looking to upgrade to 19" and normal tyres. First I am trying to source a spare, jack etc and of course I am being met with BMW Main Stealer prices. I have searched the technical discs and come up with the following info

1) spare wheel part number 36 11 6 758 778 same part number for X3 E83

2) Chock part number 71 11 1 179 052 same part number for E30, 31, 32, 34, 36, 38, 39, 46, 63, 64, 65, 66, 83, Z3

3) Wheel Brace part number 71 12 1 179 953 same part number for E30, 32, 34, 36, 38, 39, 46, 53, 63, 64, Z3

4) Wheel brkt part number 71 15 1 180 625 same part number for E30, 31, 32, 34, 36, 38, 39, 46, E70

5) Wing nut part number 71 15 1 182 214 same part number as E36, 46, 39, 38, 65, 66, 53

7) Jack part number 71 12 6 767 944 same part number as E46, 63, 64 NOTE when you check the numberes the e60 jack fits the other models. when you check the E46 jack it is not a good part number for the E60. I think this is because they have E46 printed on them. I have tried an E46 jack and it both fits and jacks perfectly

8) Oddment tray part number 71 11 6 758 781 same part number as E63 E64

Of course all this also applys to the E61

So with a bit of looking around the jack, chock, brace, wheel clamp can all be sorced relatively cheaply from your local breakers. I have just been to mine and picked up all of the above ex brace for ?3 UK. Therefore it only leaves you to go to the stealer for the rim and oddment tray. Hope this helps
