Took Delivery 10/26/2009: LOADED! E60 M5 Silverstone II/Black, Active Seats, Comfort Ventilated/Heated Seats, HUD, Brushed Aluminum Trim,
Can anyone tell me if M-Sport Airbags are all the same for the E60, or are there different ones for different types of sport steering wheels? Can I use a Sport airbag from a post 09/2005 E60 on a pre 09/2005 Sport steering wheel?

No they are not the same across the board. There are 2 types of sports airbags, one for pre-9/05 and one for post 9/05. The copper connectors on the back are different.

Take a picture of your steering wheel mounting plate and I will tell you which airbag to get. There is a lot of mixing and matching going on with the steering wheel mounting plates in the pre-9/05 and this will determine the correct steering wheel for you to get.
