Im thinking about using those bulbs in my hi beams/fogs and getting hid for my lo's + John's LED AE's.

Side question...you should be able to install a H11 where an H8 bulb should go right?
Sorry man, I have no first hand experience with GP Thunders, so I can't really say. However, I will tell you this. I personally don't like the blue coated bulbs and have used them in the past. They don't really output that "white" to me, plus they make the high beam area look bluish due to the reflector. It doesn't look good to me, so I took them off and for the lulz, stuck some H7 LED bulbs in there. Of course, you basically lose the function of "effective" high beam, but at least it was real white. Eventually though, I just went back to stock before I did my quad projector project.

+1
even though I have a pair of GP thunder in my hands to sell, I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy it

Well, moriel if you really wanna test it out, maybe you can drive up to my place and test 'em out, if you like 'em, pay 15 bucks and leave, if you don't, just drop it back and walk away and go with HID(maybe?) lol

But my suggestion is "just save your gas and go with HID" LOL

Hi man,

I have a 2008 528i with halogen. I have a 8000k H7 HID kit in my car, 8000k H8 HID Fogs and Johns 5W AE. I thought I would show you how they look. For my hi beams I have GP Thunder 8500k V2 H7. Don't get GP Thunders for your fogs they burn out after a year....get HIDS. H11 will not fit H8. Just last month I bought a H11 kit for my Acura TL hoping the H11 bulbs would fit the fogs (TL also uses H8 fogs) and they did not fit. They were VERY loose.

Not to burst your bubble too much, but you shouldn't expect it to look anything remotely that in person and daylight.
