E60 comfort seats mod (simulator install) Help Please
Hi everyone! I’ve been looking around and asking about the seat wiring for my 2008 e60 seats!
my project is to have it on my simulator with a power supply to power them!
I tried to power them with a booster pack and nothing moved .. if anyone can guide me true the wires it would help allot since i can’t find any wiring diagram... here is my wiring
i just bought a 12volt power supply with 15amp output and a pulse generator for the Can Bus

Does this give you what you need?

Weird. I would imagine the seats would move with just power supplied.
So to verify, you:
So to verify, you:
- Provided power at pins 23 and 3
- Ground at pins 2 and 11

i just want to do it right the first time since i don't have a second seat if i fry this one I'm screwed! just to recap the thing i will try if thats what you suggest! plug the big red wire with pin 23 and 3 on 12volt positive lead and the big brown wire with pin 2 and 11 on the ground lead, corect me if im wrong il wait for a response before connecting anything! and if you are wondering i do have the connector to simplify the jump on the pins

so i traced back the wires and found where they go!
so pin 2-3-23 goes to the controller on the seat but those are the only wires on the controller

The controller under the seat has all its on controls going to the seat parts so there aren't all that many wires (if I remember correctly) going into that yellow connector. You've got some for occupancy sensor on the passenger seat, can bus for the heated seat controls, seat belt switch, and then power for the controller. I would think if you got power to the controller that is all you'd need. You could even bypass the yellow connector and give 12 volts directly to the controller. I can't verify at the moment but perhaps this even I can go out and unplug my yellow connector and see which pins are ground and which have voltage.
