Need help or guidance

I have been trying to update my retrofitted CIC (from a MY10 E60) firmware from C0D to C1A with no success in my 2009 E61 that came with CCC. I am trying to follow option1 described above with no luck, Winkfp doesnt evne list CI63F1 module to select in the list. I am using V67 daten files. I can see CI63F1 in data folder, but not in the list.

Installed combox, but havent coded yet since I need to udpate my CIC firmware. I cant even update maps using USB, since the 1b file I am reading is having generic VIN 1234567 rather than the donor vehicle VIN which I can see when I run CIC mafia application.

Here are all the screen shots I got for reference.

thanks for any suggestions or guidance, can give remote access if anyone is willing to check in. I am pretty sure this is easy for a seasoned BMW coder.

Did you code your cic retrofit? Maybe winkfp is not configured properly. Try to load data again, find video step by step how to do that on youtube. It will be easier.

I did basic retrofit coding, nothing fancy. Updated VO with required options and changed build date to #0909 and wrote it to CAS. Then default coded CIC to get it work with sound output followed by some tweaks to CIC for some options like warning message delete, video in motion etc.

It is all working fine except that I am not able to update maps from the deault 2009 maps it has and wont be able to have combox coded due to its old software version.

I did follow step by step guide to import daten files into winkfp, but still cant see the CIC modules to update.

If someone can remote in and check on these missing modules in winkfp, I should be good to go with flashing.

More details-
ISTA-P starts off by seeing CIC, by the time it completes module scan, it shows CCC etc and nothing on MOST even though my ICOM-B has both status lights in green

Vo code LM too and update MOST ring. Your navi function still active? I dont think that you can update maps , without writing your car vin to cic, and you need to work with fsc codes.
What size of 1B.zip file?

I dont have access to the 1b file right now, can check it later.

I can try writing updated VO to LMA module as well (I havent done it since many retrofit threads mentioned its not necessary). Now coming to updating MOST ring, how would one do that?

I had another CIC (from a 2010 E60) retrofit before that came with a later version firmware on it and was able to update its maps without any issue and it worked fine with emulator alone. When I did combox, I thought of doing self signed FSCs and int hat process virginized it and since then was not able to write and save FSCs to it and navigation greyed out. After trying to get it to work for few months now, I gave up on it and got another CIC unit from a 2010 E60. Everything is working fine with it except for the issues I am having right now and bluetooth doesnt work (I can pair my Pixel but nothing else)

I can understand you, because i was in the same boat, when my cic was stolen and i bought used one. Finally i paid for cic guy 100€ to do everythink it was need by my vin. I think that problem to spend 4 month is tools that we used for this job. There is other i think better tools like Dr.Gini that should do this job easily. You can update MOST ring using ista/rheingold. I read that sw version can be your issue about update maps.

You are right about my software version being old which is not allowing me to update maps via usb.

Then trying to update software version via ICOMA2+B is not working for me using winkfp since it always errors out saying ECU address not found etc in expert mode. So, I tohught of trying Option1 for updating, then I am not able to find the module at all. Wil give it a try by entering the ZB number to update by using 'Choose ZUSB'. But I am not hoping it would work.

I think for a seasoned BMW coder, this should be pretty straight forward using advanced tools like Tool32 and FSTool etc, but am not sure who that right person is

Can someone tell me why I am not able to find any of my 63, 62, A0 modules ZB numbers in winkfp?

Imported data into winkfp multiple times from V67 with no luck.... none of those 3 show up in the list.

That's a good question. I would start by factory coding and check VO. Do you have ISTA. If so does it show on the tree
