This last week I had engine performance software and a cold air intake installed on my 2006 550i. I requested to have the car dyno'ed following the work and was told that the traction control installed on the car prevented this (although they claimed they tried). Does anyone have experience with having their 550i dyno'ed in the Washington, DC area?

There is the DTC button that you're supposed to press for at least 3 seconds to disable traction control.

The shop where I had the work done specializes in repair of and performance tuning for BMWs so hopefully they would have known that.

E60s are a new breed of cars that most tuners are not equiped to handle.

As said above - DTC button for 3 seconds. Expect all sorts of malfunction notices to pop up on the iDrive after the run...

Yeah pretty much you can get full control of your traction by holding down the DTC button, a red triangle symbol will come on which signifies that you have full control of your car and that the computer will not interfere with actions such as a burnout or donuts. When you just simply press it once the orange DTC light will come on, the computer will somewhat take control if it detects wheelspin.
