Hi
The unit is 100% plug and play. You don't have to worry about the I-Drive because nothing is being done to the i-drive signal. This signal passes thru the mod uninterupted. We are only interfaceing with the video. I should have another 100 units in on Friday if anyone needs. Please call me 718-763-7367.
Thanks Dominic of www.navwithtv.com

Hope that explains it a little.

Unless you remove the unit before taking the car back to the dealer. Another bonus for a device that uses factory connectors, etc.!

Hi Dom

Yes, I spoke with Kim already - you were on the road I think.

I'm back in the UK on Saturday for 1 day and will be sending you the original unit then because I figured that if I sent it to you from Prague, it might cause your Customs to query the package. Better to send it from the UK - your chaps will be more used to it.

I was calling you to see if you could send out a unit to me to arrive before Saturday cos I won't be in the UK for any length of time until April. Looks like you won't be able to do it because the new units haven't arrived, right?

For everybody else:

Here is a pic of the latest unit from NavWithTV:

I think the connection details are self-explanatory. The 2x LVDS sockets on at the top right are for the BMW iDrive Monitor cable from the main wiring loom (LVDS IN) and the pass through cable to the iDrive Monitor from the interface (LVDS OUT).

All the Best and talk to you soon Dom.

Dom,

Have you seen my website? I've got banners going to various sites - navwithtv is one of them. Hope your site redesign gets done quickly...... I had a couple of people PM me confused because when they went to your site looking for the E60 unit, they got the Acura/Infinity pages and images!!!

All the Best

Tim

I'm having a hard time finding info on your website.

So looking at the picture that Hobi posted it shows Audio Out... does taht mean if we have AUX input we just hook that up to the AUX input? and if not we use the FM modulator? Is that built into the system?

Thanks

Hi Tim and Everyone
Thanks for all the help Tim. Yes if you have the Aux input then you hook this to the audio out on the unit and don't have to use the FM modulator. The Web page should be finished at the end of the month and should be much much more used frendly. I want to thank everyone for there support.
Thanks Dominic

Cool I C. I dont have the AUX yet... but plan to. So the FM Modulator comes with the kit right? I will still be able to use it in the mean time w/out AUX input.

Thanks again.

@Dom

I posted in the other thread cause I haven?t seen this yesterday.

I love to have such an interface for adding digital TV with a settop box.

My car has a Navi Business system.

The question of questions is: can I have this for germany or is it only available and practicable for the us?

Hi Everyone
Hope all is well.
The units have 2 composite video inputs, a built in NTSC tuner and a built in FM modulator. You can use the modulator if you don't have the aux in on you car.
We are currently only making NTSC TV-Tuners, but if enough people want them with PAL TV-Tuners for Euro we can make it. The video only portion (for dvd and backup camera) will work everywhere in the world. This unit works regardless if you have Nav or not.
Thanks Dominic of navwithtv.com
