I have a 2006 530xi (AWD) with sport pack.. I'm currently running the Style 123 18" wheels 245/40/18 all the way around.

Does anyone know if you can run staggered wheels on an 06 530xi? I am considering going to 19x8.5 in the front and 19x9.5 in the rear, for summer use. I'm curious to know if I should be concerned about the way the car drives with the xdrive system in place and having wider wheels in the rear. Any issues that anyone knows of?

Thanks!

I don't think there would be a problem with that setup. I have an X5 4.8is that has X-Drive and a staggered tire setup, no issues here.

Good question but I have to agree with ekaz. I have a staggered setup on an X5 also and don't have any issues. I would be curious to hear the answer from someone more qualified than myself.

Yeah, I was thinking that V8 X5's have staggered set ups. I just didn't know if there should be any concern with that set up on the saloons. Thanks.

I would say that since it's a computer controlled system, as well as an adaptive system, there would be no problem running staggered wheels on there. The computer should make any necessary adjustments, but then again, who knows how good that is for the computer? Just ask your dealer, I don't think they'll be hurt if you change you wheels, they've seen enough of them.

Yes, you should be able to run a staggered setup. The one thing that you have to be careful with on an XI is the offset. The offset on your style 123's is different from a 530i without X-drive. You can purchase a set of style 124's for the XI which is a staggered setup.

I used exact BMW offset data and stagger setup when I ordered my wheels from HRE. Fronts are 18x8 +43mm and rears are 18x9 +55. Hope the info helps.
