Returned from a long drive in the rain and noted only the outside exhaust tip was hot/dry while the inside one was cold/wet. I seem to recall an earlier post about some baffle that opens/closes to keep the sound down during slower driving and was wondering if this is speed or RPM controlled? Much of the drive was at highway speed but lower RPM due to top gear, but the last two miles were at slow neighborhood speed before arriving in the garage. Just curious.

Yup, the baffle is still working. Both tips were hot after some spirited high RPM driving. I seem to notice a surge in power accelerating in 1st and 2nd gears passing the 4,500 RPM level .
