Thumbs up

So fellows, as you can see here's the broken M5 driver side mirror.
Looking for ideas how to repair it, if there's any chance to do so.

I don't even know what I'm looking at. Haha, good luck trying to fix it though.

Please remove the outer body of mirror housing (should be fixed by 3 or 4 torx screws), and also please remove the base plate by unscrewing the rwo torx screws on the back side of the mounting plate.
This will allow us to get a better look at the damage.
Looks like it's the folding mechanism that has broken. The rest of the mirror should be fine.

Also it would help if you tell us what actually happened here. Was it damaged whilst on your car......if so, how ? Or did you just buy it as is secondhand ???

Cheers.

that's what exactly broken in this mirror - aluminium pipe or support of the mirror itself connected with folding mechanism inside the mounting plate. All other parts were disconnected and unscrewed previously.

I've got no M5 mirrors on my ride and these mirrors are belong to friend of mine, his wife tryed to park the car in a garage but she had hit against the open garage door accidently

here's some more close-up pics...
